Like many of you, I chose Fate as my home because of its small-town charm and rural lifestyle. My family has lived here since 1998, and in 2016, when our property was annexed, we officially became Fate residents. As a second-generation Texan, born and raised in Dallas, I understand the balance between growth and preserving what makes a community special. A lot has changed over the past 27 years, but one thing remains constant—our shared desire to keep Fate a great place to live, work, and raise a family. I’m running to ensure that as we grow, we do so responsibly, always putting our community first.
With over 30 years in the legal field, first as a paralegal and now as an office administrator, I have built my career on dedication, loyalty, and problem-solving. Managing a staff of 15-20 employees has given me extensive experience in recruitment, hiring, budgeting, and creating policies to ensure efficiency and professionalism. I have overseen office expansions, managed procurement, and led large-scale projects—skills that directly translate to responsible city governance.
I have been married to my husband, Steve, for over 25 years, and our two children attended schools in Rockwall and Royse City. Our daughter is pursuing graduate studies in Accounting, and our son is currently attending the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. Both were recruited for swimming, which has been a passion for our family. No stranger to community involvement, I have volunteered with USA Swimming at the Rockwall Aquatic Center for the past 12 years and also served as Treasurer for many years for Boy Scout Troop 989 in Rockwall.
At home, our property allows us the liberty to raise horses, chickens, ducks, geese, and even quail, along with many dogs and cats along the way. I also keep bees and welcome any inquiries from those who might want to learn more about beekeeping! Fate has been an amazing place to raise our family and live the rural lifestyle, and I am committed to preserving the small-town personality and charm that attracted us here in the first place.
My long history living in this community, raising my family, volunteering, and being actively involved, combined with my professional experience in management, budgeting, and strategic planning, has prepared me to be a dedicated and focused leader on the Fate City Council. I am ready to work for you, ensuring our city remains a great place to live while making smart, responsible decisions for the future of Fate.
